Williams is an experienced veteran who has played a ton of snaps in a ton of big games and knows the Pettine defense inside and out. As a potential gameday elevation from the practice squad, Williams would provide an instant remedy to any injury to the top three, particularly Sullivan in the slot.

The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Tramon Williams to the practice squad and released P Ryan Winslow from the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Thursday.

Coach Matt LaFleur undoubtedly would love to have Williams, one of the team’s hardest workers and most well-liked individuals during his two previous stints in Green Bay, back in the locker room.
